I received a reply from DSS ... as expected, they don't plan to make new inners. next step to see if we can use cores, stay tuned.

I have a pair of OEM inner CV's only from a 1987 Shelby Z if anyone needs them.
I had the shafts shortened but it didn't work out and I saved the inners.
Thanks

DSS has stellar customer service. They answer Emails promptly and are definitely keeping me in the loop.
How would core axles be used ? So many variables and every single oem axle out there is going to be well used and worn out.

Any news on this?
OK folks, getting caught up on stuff and I have not heard back from DSS in a while. Their last update was that they could no longer get the inners from GKN and were not interested in tooling any up. They did say that they could rebuild factory axles provided they get good cores. I have asked multiple times if they have a listing of what they consider 'good cores' and no response. Looking at the DSS axles I have got from them, they all have the same forged trilobular inner housings shown in the pic here. I think these were from early 90's imperials or something? Beware, some aftermarket have machined trilobular housings to look like the forged ones and those are not the same.
So, I recently reached out to DSS one more time (no reply yet) and really losing hope we're going to get a group buy and also found out some awesome news that Reeves Racing is investing in making some new badass axles! These will be made from all new components and not used stock stuff so better than what DSS was offering anyways.
I will hereby close this group buy thread and offer a couple options to those looking for axles.
If you are looking for good stock axles, many have had good luck with Detroit Axle - some have even received the heavy duty trilobular inner axles from them
https://www.detroitaxle.com/
If you want to try get upgraded DSS axles, you will need to get your own good cores (like the axles with the forged trilobular inners) and you will contact DSS directly and then send them to them for upgrade. Feel free to mention JT at BadassPerformance sent you
