    Crank No Start

    I have an 88 Horizon throttle body, Lost Check engine light about 3
    days ago and now it quit running. No start but Cranks good No Communication with a Snap on Scanner. Any Suggestions?

    Do you hear the fuel pump rn? What about if you run a 12V jumper wire to the + side terminal of the coil? Got fuel then? if so then it's spark of compression right? Is the cam sprocket turning when you crank? The belt can strip at the crank sprocket which trns the whole assembly, if yo u have fuel, and you have the cam sprocket turning, my next guess would be the HEP switch inside the distributer cap. It sends the signal of engine position to the ECU, they go out all the time. 3 things to check, report back...

    Did you have heavy rains? Check for water at the LM, passenger kick panel and what Alan says.

    I finely got My Scanner to work got fuel spark No RPM when cranking probably do to the Timing belt no longer joining in the fun. ORiley’s got one in stock Thanks to All who responded
