Bring the wagon!!
It's too bad you're so far away (~8hrs), otherwise I'd drive down there and help!
Holy cow Johnny. I'm so sorry to hear that. What's the story on the motor? Do the rod bearings look beat pretty badly?
My car wasn't fast enough to get picked on.... had some pretty interesting finishes though... not caught on video... LoL
So how many people will be coming from SDAC to Carlisle? I wish I could make it to both, but I've got a 5 month old son at home. A whole week was a bit too much to ask.
Just texted the owner. He said he got them at www.jdmflares.com .

Not taken it apart yet. What's the story on the motor? Do the rod bearings look beat pretty badly?
Was built when I worked at a hotrod shop 9 years ago with all the right stuff. Under supervision of a master OR the machine shop installed the parts into the short block, I can't remember. Too long ago. It should have bee good. It sat here on the shelf, it should have been fine. Also pre-oiled it. It should have been fine.

Put the old motor back in.
I could but its too much work and time to still make it to the shows. So doing it it right, fixing this one OR upgrading the original engine by putting forged pistons in it.

Come out and enjoy yourself and worry about it when you get back.

Johnny, come on out, buddy! You were going to spend quite a bit on fuel etc. getting there by driving. Use some of that for the plane tickets and then the rest to fix it when you get back.
Give yourself a break, brotha! You deserve it!
I'll donate $26.20. If we're serious, link?....
NOT serious!!!
