I think there is a pre-registration cut-off the beginning of June. I think they use the number registered by that point to qualify for the tent space.
This cut off needs to be better broadcast to people. We might have enough people to get a tent, but they register too late. Post on the Facebook page maybe?
According to the Carlisle website, June 8 is the last date to pre-register and still get the early registration discount. It doesn't really say when the cutoff date for online pre-registration is.
Do they still print registration forms in magazines? And if on those forms it asks club affiliation then the club count is not determined by those pre-registering online.
Back when I was running the club, I asked the lady who ran the club affiliation events (club tent, club challenge, etc) who all was counted. She told me that even folks that registered on site at the event on Thurs - Sat were counted in the club total.
However, that was 10 years ago, and I know a lot has changed at Carlisle since then. She left there a couple years after I stopped going.
I will be there this year though.

Registration is "cut-off" so that you get your packet in the mail in time. I think you can still register online after that date but your packet will be available at the front office. As for the club count, you would have to call for the count cut-off date. Maybe also see how many have already pre-registered.
Got registered this morning for both SDAC & Carlisle.
If I want one of those fancy SDAC shirts, can I pay for it and pick it up at carlisle, and not pay the shipping?
So I've never been to Carlisle, what typically goes on at this event? I'm up in the air if I'm going to go or not. I did reserve a hotel room but haven't registered for the event yet. Also where have the rest of you reserved hotel rooms?
I'll put it this way: I decided to go one year and I haven't stopped going since. That was 2006. It is the most massive, yet most well-organized car show I go to each year. Even the swap meet is awesome (and also huge).
I usually stay about 25 minutes away in New Cumberland. If you try to grab a hotel in or near Carlisle, it's either ridiculously expensive, or it's booked so far in advance that you don't have a prayer.

I think I booked at the Scottish inn in new Cumberland. I'd have to look again. Is it just a car show the entire event Thursday - Sunday or are there other events?
I'll be staying right in front of you at the Motel 6. All the Neon guys are booked there. Trotter, Craig, and some others stayed at the Scottish Inn last year I think. Come hang out with the Neon punks if you get a chance (well, most of them will be Neons. I had my Daytona and another 2GN member brought his mint-condition, bone stock Starion ESi, so there are other cars there as well).

Don't underestimate either the car show or swap meet. Folks I know that walk the entire swap meet take about 2 days to cover it all. And there are about 2000 Mopars in the show field. There is also a survivors tent for great condition originals, another area for cars that are for sale, and a building with the featured models of the show. Carlisle is a big event, and probably the nicest car show you'll ever attend. It really is a great time.

Since there is really nothing scheduled for Thursday who wants to make a trip to Harry's u pull it in hazelton? Its quite a experience!
I planned on getting there around 3pm Thursday. How late are they open? I could always leave earlier (battling traffic the entire length of southern New England might be worth if it this junkyard actually has some of our cars!)

According to website last admission is 630pm. http://www.wegotused.com/
That website is the coolest thing I've seen in a while. You can actually search the inventory!?
The junkyards around here don't do that, and if you ask anyone that works there they tell you off and tell you to walk through.
Not only that, there were a few Shadows and one Daytona listed!
A couple horizons too.
