Hmmmm. Not quite what I expected. Response from my email to Carlisle. I guess I wasn't clear enough. Didn't realize they were having more than one this year. I emailed again to clarify the Shelby Dodge invitational. Lol

Make sure you have it clearly listed that it's for the Shelby DODGE invitational since there is also one during Ford Nationals. Two different people in charge of reviewing cars.
Turbodave is in direct discussion with Carlisle regarding their inclusion of Shelby Dodges this year and will have more info soon

I booked my room for Carlisle $59 a night. http://www.expedia.com/New-Cumberlan...1-d1db6144d403&
Is there going to be a host hotel organized at all for Carlisle?
The Neon guys usually grab a big block of rooms at the Motel 6. If we had the Neons and the turbo Dodges mixed in... oh man that parking lot would be a pretty epic car show in itself!

Some one needs to get with the powers that be at Carlisle. If you have more then A couple dozen? or so members signing up for the show field under one Club Banner Carlisle will put up a 24X24 canopy at no charge, Check it out, Jer
Pretty sure they are aware. When you register you just select SDAC as your club affiliation. Once they get 25 (I think) you automatically qualify. SDAC already listed, so that's great. Just not sure how many have registered so far.
I've been waiting for info on a group hotel but now I'm thinking it might be to late.
If you haven't yet made a reservation for Carlisle, you should do so AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Rooms sell out fast there and all that are left are very pricey ones.
As far as a group hotel there, most places around there are going to sell out anyway, so they don't see any benefit to themselves to do a group booking, it is just extra effort and record keeping for them.
This is about the same everywhere. The only hotels/motels that will set aside a block of rooms for group reservations are those that can see a benefit in doing so. Places that normally sell out, or usually do 90% or better, won't even talk about a group block of rooms.

Booked at Scottish Inn in New Cumberland. Only a few rooms left there, but only $70 a night.
