So would a carbon/carbon clutch. Nobody seems interested in what EVERYONE else is using. I know I don't want to pay for one at the prices you will find for a non custom unit.
Those people still use staging brakes.

I don't know if anyone uses assistance on their clutch action to control slip, even the hillbilly screen door shock method. Maybe its illegal.

Aren't the DSS axles 300M even? I think some guys have just reached the limit of the stock size splines.

Maybe DSS needs to use a different material for the shafts?

On a stock jeep its easy to get up pretty high in torque.

Rubicon wranglers have 4:1 low range, 3.73 gears, and a 3.39:1 first gear. With 250 ft lbs of torque, that's 13,391 ft lbs of torque. If the lockers are on, that means it could be transmitted tone one wheel only

I think its better to prevent shockloads than create a part that ends up killing input shafts or cases or whatever else becomes the next weak link. Yes better parts are good, but I would still rather have my axle break. We hope nothing would break if axles survive but utopia might not exist.

FWIW I broke my 523 and my axles were just fine..I think maybe the tranny is already the weak link depending on which one you have

Is the friction material available somewhere? The rest of the parts could probably be CNC'd?
