Andy IMO, all used turbine housings will all pretty much have some crack in them where the scroll starts at the turbine, unless they are very low mileage. Whether they crack all the way up to the wastegate hole is another thing. Man I remember it seems like just a few short years ago that we were tripping over 2.2 turbo's in the salvage yards! Times change.

I might have a stock housing to sell, I'll check tomorrow.
FWIW I've used hairline cracked housing numerous times with no problems.
