Thanks bro! The Chrysler housing is so much easier to deal with as opposed to the Ford housing. I would rather get the Chrysler housing machined after the fact then to deal with the Ford housing being in the way of this and that .

Was hoping you were getting Turbonetics to re-cast these and machine them to their wheels and stardards.
We sell our own brand of turbos which include "Standard" Stage turbine wheels. Since we sell very few Turbonetics brand turbos it would not make sense for us to prep the housings for something we don’t recommend to our customers.

After going through our sales history we could not find any documentation confirming we provided this service for you. Back in the day there were two companies that we contracted to complete the DBB fitment in .63 A/R housings. Do you know when your housing was machined? That would help us in determining which company it was. In the end, who modified your housing would be a moot point as neither company will be machining our new turbine housings.

Once we reach 40 participants and start collecting deposits we will require customers to commit to Turbine housing Stage.

The Chrysler style turbine housings were never designed to work with a DBB turbocharger. Because the Garrett GT cartridge is smaller positioning the center of the turbine wheel “bucket” with the turbine housing volute took a considerable amount of precision machining. To make it all come together additional parts were also needed to be fabricated and fittings modified. It’s been a while but from what I recall our contractors took the initial measurements from a Ford style DBB turbine housing and duplicated the profile the best they could to the Chrysler housing.

All Stages will be the same price, but, they must be pre-ordered.

If you would like to step up the Stage size at a later date it will be an additional $75.

    Thanks!

I recieved it May 7th 2010. I bought the center section and compressor side from you and sent my coated Stage 1 housing to you. But if those companies aren't doing it any more then it's a moot point. I just hope whoever is machinging these housings has the machines to machine them close to the profile of the exhaust wheel instead of just 2 cuts 90 degrees to each other.

The company we are working with does nothing but turbine housings. We are providing them with various stages of Chrysler .63 A/R turbine housings for them to reproduce.

We might get them a DBB cartridge to fit. How many would be interested in Chrysler housings made specifically for the DBB?

Maybe? Depends on the details and cost of the rest of the turbo itself. I actually don't have a specific plan for this .63 yet. I just figured get one while the getting's good.

Re: Gauging Interest- Chrysler .63 A/R turbine housing Group Buy

    Great Job so far everyone!

UPDATE: In order to secure the production window we need all 40 participant's $75. deposit paid by November 15th. It's looking good right now, but, if the deadline is missed production will either be delayed based on how close we are to the 40 or cancelled all together. If it's delayed Group Buy pricing will increase from $175 to $225. We really want these to be manufactured the first part of next year so they will be available in early Spring. These housings are one of the missing performance links for our cars. If you are interested please don't delay in joining so another great product is not lost forever.
