    Part number 3798 253, alternative?

My Omni's tail light is glue to the body using this black goo as a seal. Well, the goo dried up and it's allowing water to get into the trunk.

Any body have an alternative source for this black that I might buy this locally? Black RTV will be a no go as it is to runny and the gap is to wide between the tail light and body.

Needs to be waterproof, sticky, compressible, preferably black.

Duct seal or dum-dum. 1 lb pug should be enough http://www.amazon.com/Gardner-Bender.../dp/B00689V41G

Its grey but 'absorbs' dirt/grime rather easily and darkens up.

Was suggested to use 3M Windo Weld.

I would think butyl tape like they used on old-school windshields would be a better choice than windshield urethane. Once that urethane sets up, you're very unlikely to ever get that tail light off the car again without breaking it. See what the service manual recommends before you go too far with it.

I would probably look at using the stiff foam weatherstrip you can get for truck caps.

That's just it. Unless the taillight is broken, I don't have it need for it to come off. So, not a big concern to me.

Used Windo Weld last evening. I'll see if it pass the rain we'll have here pretty soon.
