Innovate MTX-D Vacuum/ Boost and Shift Light Gauge

I am planning my build for this winter and on the chopping block is my 30 psi boost gauge, with my goals for next year, 30 psi will not be high enough. I have been runing turbonator tunes all summer and have my car pretty dialed in on Premium, but next year I plan to switch to E85 and turn the boost up so I need a gauge that will go higher and I will also need something more than a 3 bar Map sensor. So in my research I came across this:

This looks like a nice gauge and wiould compliment my Innovate MTX-L Wideband gauge. This gauge comes with a 4 bar map sensor. I am going to email Innovate to find out who's sensor it is that they are using. It would be really nice if I could tap into the 4 bar wires of the gauge's sensor and use them for a signal for the ECU. I can also daisy-chain this gauge with my WBO2 and have data logging on both gauges overlayed.

What is people's opinion about running a digital boost gauge? Are they eay to read while driving. I have only had a mechanical boost gaue so far, but my digital WBO2 is really easy to read.

You definitely CAN piggyback off the gauge's 4-bar map sensor as long as you scale for it properly in the cal. I asked the same question to DIYAutoTune about the SCG1 which also has the same map.

So the range on the sensor will be compatible with MPTune, I know how to set the scal on the program to go 4 bar, I just want to make sure the ECU is going to be compatible with this sensor. If that is the case, this will kill at least 2 birds with one stone for me!

The best way to verify the way the map sensor reads is to get a vac/pressure hand pump and a voltmeter and check it yourself psi by psi.

I just email Innovate to find out if the sensor will work and if the output is 0-5 volts, also asked for a table showing pressure and signal voltage.

Here is the response from Innovate:

The MAP sensor used on The MTX-D gauge has a resistance type output. The signal cannot be shared with other devices since this can affect the readings.

Looks like I will be using an Auto-meter mechanical boost gauge (45 psi) and an omni power 4 bar MAP sensor. No Innovate boost gauge in my future now.
