Bought this project last year on a whim and just haven't had the motivation to get it going. I don't want it sitting out in the snow all year, so I'm hoping someone takes it off my hands. Car has a good stock 2.2 common block long block out of another 89 CSX. New Turbonetics S60 turbo with a 3" ATP ultimate internal wastegate. 3" exhaust, Spearco front mount, stage 4 cal, +40 injectors, walbro, hks bov, AFPR, cometic HG, arp head studs, and a number of other odds and ends. Should be a fun little car when running.
All Shelby items are there other than the original wheels. Ground fx were recently repaired and in excellent condition. Interior is good, Recarros could use a cleaning. Factory radio needs to be reinstalled. Exterior is good, no rust to speak of other than the typical p body hatch rust spot. Has clear coat issues, but no body damage to speak of.
I was an idiot and in a hurry when I installed the motor and forgot to install the throw out bearing, so the trans needs to be pulled. While your pulling the trans you're probably going to need to swap the starter. I believe the solenoid is stuck as it cranks over anytime a battery is connected. Will need work on the down pipe as well or the power steering pump will need to be removed due to the oversized swing valve.
Asking $3000 or would be willing to trade for an older jeep, preferably a wagoneer or 2 door cherokee chief. More pictures and info can be found on my build thread.
