    2.4 knock sensor

After reading several posts about this, I am lost. What is the correct sensor to use on a 2.4 conversion using stock electronics, the early 2.4 sensor, or the 2.5 turbo sensor? I put the 2.5 sensor in the second runner on the manifold and driving I am only seeing at max 0.3V. The sensor worked fine on the old engine so I dont know if it is a bad location, or if the 2.4 sensor is more sensative. Just to verify, is voltage 0-5V or is it 0-0.5V

    Thanks!

    Re: 2.4 knock sensor

    It's a 0-5V sensor.

I would use the 2.5 sensor, in the stock location for the 2.4 - On the block. The knock curve that I put in my 2.4 cals is based on the '95 2.0L Neon, which uses essentially the same sensor as the 2.5, and in the same location as the 2.4 (on the block). Obviously, the block structure is different; so the knock curve should be different, but it's the closest starting point available.
