You should be able to research other listings to provide comparable GLH sales to insurance company to prove actual value. I had same issue w/ a low mileage '85 LTD LX...I even provided ads of car featuring Bob Bondurant, along with articles to confirm rarity of car. The insurance likely will have an issue with the missing bumpers but I wouldn't roll over as they were at fault and same damage would have occurred if GLH was being flat towed to an autocross, furthermore roll cage strengthened chassis and mitigated damage!!!
Insurance looked at it yesterday. Totaled it. I knew that would happen. They said they would contact me in a few days to give me a dollar amount.
Get the payout - buy the car back - part the car and come out ahead. The value in our hobby is in parts anyway. Good lucj
You know, i have an 86 horizon that all that stuff would look really nice in :-)
ah what a bummer man
The insurance seriously offered me 400 dollars for the Omni. I told them that's not going to work. It's a rare and sought after car. She said to fax a copy of the title over and she'll see if they evaluated it correctly.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Do a search here for insurance, there have been more than one member the insurance companies have tried to bone, and while I doubt you'll get what you want, at least you'll be well "armed".
I'd also suggest gathering ads for similar cars, they'll do a local survey of the mom and pop car dealers to get a price from them, and we all know they'll not know what we are talking about...

Stick to your guns!! Be a pain in the ---!! You will have to drag this on to hopefully you will get close to what you want.
Good luck
Show them receipts of how much the parts costs. $400 is a slap in the face but expected from them.
You fire back with $5000 and tell them your neck hurts from the accident.
Here is the nada on a regular glh. Yours is a turbo model!

Well. Insurance settled with me. They paid 772 for the rental I used plus they paid me. Bunch of dummies
Did you get a decent settlement?
Are you going to part it out or are you going to build a new car?
If you part out I need roof sheet metal
Not parting it. Selling it as a whole to a guy Friday.
I'm not building another one. I'm getting out of them for a while.
Car is sold and gone to a good home.
