    Front engine mount

Hey guys, does anyone know what motor mount this is? It's out of a 90 Daytona but the stock isolator does not fit into it (to small). I verified part numbers on the isolator and it is the correct one for the car. Here are some pics of the mount. I want to go to a stock mount up front. Car came with poly engine mounts.

That is definitely the '90-up style mount. Are you saying the isolator insert is too small for the frame, or the frame is too small for the insert?

The insert is to small for the Frame. I even tried a 3.0 isolator. It was the right size but not the right shape.

Did you buy the early small insert or later big insert?

I bought the later big insert or so it says I even had them look at a 92 mount and it says the same part number.

You mean the poly mount is too small for the bracket?
The the mount is made for the 84-90 cars, where your bracket is the 90-94 style.

Shape wrong? Is your bracket square hole not square? If its not then it has been
    bent and needs squared up.

    Re: Front engine mount

I want to put a stock bushing in the mount. I want to get rid of some of the vibrations. But for whatever reason the bushings at the auto store no matter what year are to small. That's why I'm trying to figure out what mount it is. Because nothing is fitting into it. Besides the blue poly bushings that where in there when I bought the car.

    Front engine mount

Ok thanks. The 2615 one is the one that orileys said is the right one for my car. So they have it wrong in the system.

After you get it, remember there is a correct rotation for it to fit into the bracket.

OK, I'll bite... What is the correct rotation?

i.e. it's not bearing weight of motor but torque of motor, pulling up, so "obvious" way to put it in.... isn't.

Is there a possibility that Mickey Mouse has been under your hood in the past and left you with something that never happened or should have happened? Some one out there has to be parting a '90 'Tona that doesn't want your 1st born child to ship you a front mount so you'll know for sure what your playing with. Just saying!

I discovered it's not something wreckers take off, when I had a cracked one on my van, so you have to go to a u-pull and get it yourself.... otherwise they all be like "You can get a new insert for $10..."
