I bought some cables off a member. they are the correct ones, I just don't know which goes to which point on the shifter assembly. hate to hook it up backwards and then have to snake them back out and back through again.

The one with the HUGE long metal sheath goes to the crossover, since it has to go all the way back to the rear of the shifter, compared to the selector, which is much shorter. I cant recall a true measured difference, but there is one.
Ok, im having a serious brain fart. The cable on the top of the trans goes to which side of the shifter? I had have everything loose, but i have the cables in the bracket from the trans, but no reference to which side of the shifter they came off of.
Ok. So I found some pics of my old 525 cables I sold, and it appears I have them backwards from my description. One cable should be very long at the shifter end, that goes on the driver side mount. That is your crossover. That also is the cable that "pushes" the shifter mecanism forward and back, at the transmission. The second cable, much shorter on the shifter end, but longer on the trans side, is the selector. That goes in the pass side groove of the shifter, and makes the mechanism go side to side att the transmission. If my memory serves me right, that should be the exact description of the cables.
Guess we'll find out. Thanks
