What is wrong with the Harness? how difficult a fix?
Honestly I'm not 100% sure. Having intermittent starting/running issue similar to before. All the mechanical components check out so I am guessing there is a corroded wire casing that is grounding or a bad splice somewhere. From what I have researched it is likely an issue with the "J2" wire. Its a power wire that runs through most of the wiring harness. It starts with a few relays (if I remember correctly) then to a splice that goes about 10 different directions, one of which runs to a second splice junction running another 10 or so directions. My money os on that wire/splices.
If I can ever find time I plan to pull the whole harness, and inspect each wire, connector and junction. Im sure there are other small places where the casing has come off.
Should be easy in general, just time consuning

I've had a few people ask about specific parts. If I were to part it out would anyone want to buy the rolling chassis? This is a solid rust free CA vehicle and I would probably cry dropping it off at the crusher.
Don't part it out. Unless you just want to get rid of it. It's A SWEET CAR. The problem is there is not much of a market for OUR K-CAR HOT RODS.
Have you tried E-BAY even though they charge, HOW ABOUT CRAIGS LIST ?? You won't have the hassle of taking it apart. And you will have the satisfaction of knowing that someone somewhere is having ALOT OF FUN

I can't believe it hasn't sold yet. I'm tempted and I have absolutely no space for two more cars.
My CSX VNT is parked an 1/8th of a mile away from my house, down the street where I have to move it every 48 hours. I microfibered it dry this am with the dew which actually makes it pretty clean. I'm gonna drive it to my favorite restaurant/bar tonight just to put on 5 miles and enjoy it a little

Eh I dont really need the money. I just don't have the time to work on it. And I dont know why but this car just feels like a chore to me. I enjoy working on my wifes Jeep and my daily (focus) though.
I hate to see it just sitting there though. And I cant stand people who hoard cool stuff and dont use it. Guy down the street has a Scout that just sits there. Ive seen people try to buy it but he wont sell.
Hopefully someone will give this car a good home, its a unique setup, and all done right. Just need to sort out 25 year old wiring
