    Re: camshaft help ...

The #'s aren't really a positive way to identify them by grind. With that said, I've seen a lot of turbo slider camshafts from the 85-87 era that had the 618 casting in them. Both my 85 GLHT and 86 GLHS has 618 castings on them. Can we make assumptions based on that? Well I just tore down a 87 slider camshaft from a NA Omni and guess what, #618 was on that one too. Only real way to know would be to degree the camshaft in at this point. The 10.9 is probably the hardness of the cam gear bolt. That would be my guess.
IMO, you will be hard pressed to get anyone to buy a used slider unless it has zero cam wear on the lobes and you have the followers marked in the order that they came off the engine.
A quick way to check lobe lift would be to measure base circle of camshaft (should be around 1.400") and then measure max lobe lift. Subtract the difference and multiply by 1.77. That will be approx. gross valve lift. For example, a stock camshaft will have appox. 1.643" lobe at max lift. So 1.643-1.400= .243 X 1.77= .430 lift.
