Does anybody have a trashed Saginaw axle that I could pilfer this from? The only place I've found it is on factorychryslerparts.com (part number 04367012) and they want $30 for the farkin thing!! I didn't see a listing on Mr. Kolner's website, so this is my last hope before I spend more on a damn spring than I did for the rebuild kit. Help me out!

I have a bad axle from my 91, how do I know if it's a Saginaw?

If the housing for the inner joint is a single machined piece that's perfectly round, it's a Saginaw. If you see weld marks or if it's got 3 ribs, it's not.

If it's the axle that was originally in your car, there's a pretty good chance it's a Saginaw axle. A large majority of the 2.5L turbo cars with unequal length axles got them.

It is a Saginaw based on those pics. What exactly are you needing? I'll ship whatever for the cost of shipping only whether the whole axle or if you can direct me to the "spring and cup" you're after. This axle was toast, moved the entire engine over 1/2" every rotation of the wheels prior to swapping it out...and it's been out in my scrap pile so it looks pretty rough on the outside. But if there's something there you can use I'm more than happy to help.

Nice! Honestly, you could throw the parts I need into a padded envelope, they're small enough. The spring is inside the inner joint. It's just over 3" long and about 1" in diameter. The cup is a small steel dished piece that snaps onto the top of the spring.
I'll get some pictures of exactly what I need when I get home tonight. I really appreciate this.

Ok, this is what I need:
If you slice the boot off with a razor, wipe some grease away and you'll see a wire retaining ring that stops the tripod from falling out. You can just yank it out with some pliers. Once that ring is out out, slide the tripod out. Down in a sea of grease will hopefully be that spring with the cup stuck to the top of it. That's all I need. Again, I appreciate it.
