    Normal vacuum reading

What is normal vacuum on a TIII engine? I have one I'm working on that has about 15" at idle warm.

    Re: Normal vacuum reading

Mine reads 21-22 psi off the MAP gauge via MPScan when it is warm. I have a worn out, old and tired engine with low compression and pleny of blow-by.

18-20" is the norm with a stock engine.

    Re: Normal vacuum reading

Up here at 4500 ft elevation I usually see 14-16 in/hg at idle.

In Laramie WY, (7200 ft), more like 10 in/hg.
