    My FWD DSM Drag car

The car looks rough around it's edge but it's just a start to my build and a early foot to success with it being some what drag ready. This will also be my final DSM because this is my "Go Big or Go Home" car

I pulled the engine out because the last owner snap the 2 top bolts on the block that bolts on the engine. Also he snapped the bolt that's in back holding the rear motor mount bracket, sucks but has to be fixed.

Not to thrilled that this is welded but, in a way I don't have to worry about the plug coming undone. I haven't seen the plug come undone when doing a BSEK so it is what it is and just going to leave it. If it works, screw it,lol.

Recent timing belt, no cracks on it at all but I'm still going to put a new one anyways.

Ok here is the carnage left behind from the old owner

Kind of a bad pic but if you look closely you will see the bolt snapped in the back of the block. Really? How does this happen? I never seen or heard anyone snapping a bolt like this, lol. Just when you seen it all, something else amazes you,

But now here is my problem, I have a 5 speed talon going auto and realize that I need a transmission bushing.

    Here is why:

The 5 speed trans mount is different than the auto mount. So instead of getting a auto mount which is hard to find, I said forget and convert the 5 speed one to a auto, lol. I used my fab skills and it came out like this:

Precision 50Trim but once I start dialing the car in and I out flow this turbo, I'm going to install my 6162 afterwards.

Thanks for the info. Any time you're out flowing a T4 50 trim wheel that's some good HP in a relatively smaller car like a DSM or TM for sure.

I'm taking baby steps with this car, make sure I get all the bugs out, suspension set right, make sure the engine and trans are healthy. Also I want to go as far as I can on pump gas which Kiggly Racing already set the record for the pump gas mark. Basically my goal is to be in the 10s and really don't care what it takes to get there, whatever setup works for me is what I'm going for and not using this car for bragging rights. Just want to prove you can achieve your goals on a budget build.

Re: My FWD DSM Drag car

I welded my new radiator support seeing the old one rotted off and banged up badly from what I don't know.

My new intercooler came in and can't believe how huge this thing is,lol.

    1ga front end on a 1gb, hehe.

Cut the front bumper a little bit, lol.

Custom made this cross member for the new radiator support I made

    inally intercooler pipping is done.

Time to start putting front end back together and add some drag racing flavor, lol.

    Side Exit, hell yeah!!!

Started her up today, everything is running good no problems. Really excited can't to start racing with this thing,
