Dimmer Switch - Piece Missing?

Hey guys and gals,

I'm working on a 88 Shelby Z. The headlight dimmer isn't working. I took a look at it this weekend, and it seems I might be missing a piece. I have the switch, the rod, and the stalk, but there seems like their might be a piece that goes from the stalk to the rod that is not there? Anyone deal with this before?

Anyone have one they'd part with?

I'd also need the lower column cover, as it was missing as well.

YES!! That is exactly what I need. So, I guess it's 2 pieces I need. I don't have either of those parts you are holding in your hands at 19:37.

Yours is a tilt column correct? You need the back piece and the slider for the high beams. Do you need the front part where they key cylinder rides?

Yes. The larger trim piece that you stick the car key into. You have that part right?

P472GL7 same as P413DS8 is the steering column cover in which the fuse block cover goes into. Have those in various colors.

Reeves, I just replaced the wiper and turn signal switch in my Olds, which has the Saginaw column in it. The cover snaps in to the upper bowl(upper part of the column) right behind the turn/cruise switch. The plastic piece that connects the dimmer switch rod to the wiper switch rides in a half circle area in the upper bowl behind the wiper switch. The cover has a detent on the back of it that the plastic connector piece rides in to located it, also.

No. You just have to get it together right. It's not that bad once you've done it a couple of times. I cover it pretty well in the video.
