    Gtp windshield

I am the happy owner of a spare GTP windshield with round corners.
I dont need it and hope to never need it .
It was bought for.. just in case I put it in a safe place at the shop.
The chance of getting to buy one in the future is very slim...I think.

    Gtp windshield

Cool. I'll be heading down next week myself.

"About" how much did you pay for it in case I run into one or five.

Very slim as in there are no more left?

You must have heard I was coming down to take a look in the containers

I guess you have it worked out with Ian for the container tour/sale.
What do you hope to find there.?
I might be able to tell you if it is (was) there.
I know somebody that has a good knowledge of the inventory in the (rusty old) containers.
There may be a motor or two I am told.
    No T3's.
I paid "about" 500.00 I think it worth it even if it just sits around …..I hope it does.
There may be more windshields left ..none new, there was some used but in good condition about 2 months ago.
When are you coming down, is it a Mosler/Rossion dedicated trip.?

I hope Mike told Ian I was coming down.

I hope to find axles / windshields / control arms / the molds / 3 cars / a pot of gold.

I have a drapery measure in Palm Beach on Wednesday so I thought it would be a great idea to stay the following day and make it a Rossien tour.

If your available id love to hang out.

I should probably call George and see of he wants to come over.

Not that I could afford it or do anything with it, but I'm curious if any of the molds are left as has been speculated.

    MOLDS.MOLDS .MOLDS.
My honey was the VP there for all the MT 900 years she and Dan have said the molds are either gone to the trash or ruined from all the years of storage.
Just think about it ....if you were building a car/boat the mold only last so long.
24 years in a rusty leaking container double yuk..!.
You would need serious work to get the MT900 molds back in shape..
Now we should talk about the POT of GOLD.
I would for sure go to help you seek it out it rains here almost every day so maybe a rainbow will shine down on us.

Just for s&g '89 say the molds are there. Depending on the material they are made from, resurfacing the tools is not only possible, but it might not be that bad. I'm going to imagine that the tools were most likely composite. Metal tools are stupid expensive and don't make a lot of sense for a small production operation. So, going with the composite tools, as long as the support structure is good, fixing the surface is pretty much body work. I know I'm going way out on a limb with the idea that the tools are there, but I'm being hopeful.

    Re: Gtp windshield

IF I were to have the money and the room, spare parts for these cars is basically nill, as we all know. So, anything that could be reproduced from the original molds would be great for these guys. I don't own one (kinda wish I did), but I've been a big fan of these cars for quite a long time. I'm sure the people that are lucky enough to own one would be happy to know that there are parts that they can replace without having to wait for somebody to come off of one or scavenge from one that might have met an untimely demise.

That being said, I don't have the money or the room, so I'm just trying to be positive for these guys!

    Gtp windshield

Doug / Randy and myself sweated it out. In the top containers it must have been 140 degrees.

I will post pics later but we found everything we wanted to and then some surprises.

Sadly I did not buy the $500,000 Mosler Photon

Just landed and headed home for an early day tomorrow.

    Full report later.

We spotted the mythical CANOESULIER mold .....looked really good.
If it was not so buried and HEAVY I would have drug it out.
We got a price on the very few parts of 5000.00 from Ian.
I can only imagine the price he would put on the canoesulier mold.
We got a slightly better price for our sweat, tears and labor at the end.
