    Is FAST still in use?

I remember seeing on one of the vendor pages the FAST EFI system, to replace the older under hood computers these things run. Does anyone run one, or has anyone gotten one recently?

FAST is still around. I don't think anybody ever offered a plug n play unit for our cars tho.

Forward Motion offered a FAST kit, but not sure if they still do since it was based on the FAST "classic" or "gray box" that FAST no longer makes since they fully switched to their XFI systems. The FM kit is not 100% plug and play as you still needed to do some wiring, but it did come with a custom distributor and most of what you needed other than a recommended ignition box/coil. There are a few of these in our community.

Over a decade ago I picked up Tim Kish's used kit off his 87 CSX and put it on the Z for the 2.2L. I modified it with an eDist box and cam sensor to use on the 2.4L and still run it today. It is about as user friendly as you get.

For aftermarket, there are many good options on the market from FAST/XFI, AEM, BigStuff3, etc. etc.

I think due to our DIY community, more use MegaSquirt or modify the stock computers. Today's interfaces and shared knowledge of the stock computers make modding them a much more capable option.

I think Jim34 (username on TD, dont know avout here) uses a FAST ems in his hybrid laser. you might get some good info out of him if you pick his brain a bit. Last I knew he was somewhere around 400 horse and 30 mpgs, so he must of done something right.
