Ok I will be the first to admit I do not know much about picking a camshaft. But here is the back story. I had a 782 head on my Daytona head was warped when head gasket blew. I got a rebuilt head with a factory 90 turbo can in it. I installed it on the car. Now that I am getting more familiar with these engines I got curious as to what cam was in that head. I pulled it off the old head and started looking at it found markings c1, and F4 on the cam. I tried finding out the lift by measuring the base circle from the width of the lobe with a micrometer. I got these numbers 1.62 and 1.41 now if you subtract them you get 0.21. Which I don't think is right at all. Can someone please explain what I am doing wrong. I'm trying to learn this stuff but does not seem to be going smoothly. Does the f4 mean that it's a fwd f4 cam? Thanks for the help/input.
