WHen I replaced the fuel pump I removed and checked the sender as well. When I reinstalled it the sender no longer worked. I took it back out and tested it and its fine. I think the return hose is blocking the sender float arm. Anyone else had this issue?
New pump is in but I am still having an issue on the sender side. The return hose looks to be attached to some kind of basket or something inside the tank. Its like either the hose or the basket is getting in the way of the sender. I wish I left it alone. It was working before I touched it. I wanted to make sure it wasn't corroding in the tank so I took it out to check it now it bit me in the ---.

Damn, You guys are supposed to just know what I am working on. All TM guys have crystal balls. 86 Daytona Turbo Z.
All fixed. After getting some video of the inside of the tank it makes sense now. The pump assy. Goes inside the basket thingy and the sender goes along side the basket. It seems that somewhere along the line it ended up not in the basket when the po replaced the pump last. Well its fixed now.
