    2003 Concorde, help

    2003 Concorde 3.5 (standard output)

Car is just shy of 200k. Last week it started acting up and bucking/running rough if you get on the gas pedal at all. No faults, with the laptop plugging in and watching the date stream it all shows fine. Replaced the plugs just for good measure, nothing. All 6 coils were replaced last year as the ones installed were a mix of replacements and 1-2 originals.

All was running well until it just went to crap overnight. Fresh tank of gas ect..

Is it possible you got a bad tank of fuel?
The only other thing I can think of would be perhaps the timing belt skipped.

I've had bad MAP sensors do this with no codes stored.

I have seen the trigger wheel on a 4.0l v6 break loose from the cam and cause all sorts of problems.

The Map was most likely the issue. Better but if you still stomp on it, it gets rough for a couple seconds like the transmission is off in stupid mode and doesn't know whats going on. For the last couple years now its been slowly getting worse so I think its time to pay the piper and concede that we're on borrowed time.

Tuesday I picked up a core 42LE. Over the next 2-3 months I'll be giving it a complete teardown and rebuild.
