Here are some pics I took, mostly the autoX. I have to give Carlisle Events some kudos, every year they get a little bit better and they had a well run event years ago, also to the gang at Hotchkis Suspension for running the autoX, they never expected so many cars to sign up to to run (had to be about 60) and they put in double time to keep everybody happy. There were bleachers at the top of the hill looking down at the track and they were filled with spectators and all along the fence that ran the hill, defiantly getting more popular.
Man, that autocross course looks fun.
Barry Miles had the fastest time recorded, beating out the Hotchkis Challenger which was very impressive (look it up on youtube) but I don't think they gave Barry the nod because of the tires he was running.
Here are some blooper pics, the Omni had un-even braking which put on quite a show everytime he ended the course, look for the smoke drifting in the air from the spin out, and Jon had a bee fly in his car at the very tricky cross-over section, I think he is going to bee proof his SCCA car and bring that out next year.
Mike's Consulier laid down some super times and with a couple more runs would have easily had fastest time of the event. On his first pass going into the tricky cross-over he was on the gas out of the chicane and you could tell he couldn't see where the cross-over was, when he finally spotted it he nailed the brakes, cut the wheel, made the turn and never took out a cone, the car looked like it was a slot car.
Those are good ones. Keep them coming guys!
The course looks little and simple looking down on it from the hill but it was hard to get it right, I don't know how some of those B-bodies ran it without knocking out cones, there was a prepped '66 Charger that was killing it. I did pretty good for just driving up to the line without checking the tire pressure and ran a 42.8, tying with a viper and I'm sure with a couple more runs would have been into the 41's which only a handful of cars ran.
Friday evening a guy with a w350 diesel did the autox. When the hard turn came he plowed trough the cones, but overall did very well considering the truck was as wide as the track.
350 diesel was out there sunday morning also running it also
Yes fishcleaners times were impressive. Too bad I didn't get any shots of it. I had to take Gary back to his car and came back later.
Your car is impressive Mike - good work.
I wish I had done the autocross!
Great to see you all again. Really happy to see the turnout of K and L based FWD cars, the quality of which seems to be rising every year. Also really glad that dave and JT from SDAC HQ came out. Thanks for the tent too.
Sorry I didnt get the chance to chat with everybody longer.

Sounds like Hotchkiss didn't like the idea of a K car getting FTD last year and an Omni getting it this year...probably doesn't help them sell suspension parts. :-)
