I would say that I probably could do it in a weekend, 2 days if I wanted to. The fabric was purchased around 12/22, started working on it after Christmas and I got it installed last night. That's about 2 weeks, but I did not work on it for 2 weeks. Real time would be anywhere from 8-12 hours doing the headliner with repair, the traveler and visors. That's assuming there are no major problems and excluding the fiberglass dry time. Uninstallation was quick and painless. Installation is always a process to get it centered in the car and not removing the passenger side interior, to prevent from breaking anything else, added some time. The traveler was probably the easiest piece even though it had the most curves. As stated before, I would definitely look for a set of the 89 visors to use instead of trying to dismantle these. I'd confirm they would fit, but I'm fairly certain they do. The ones for the CSX look identical. And thanks for the compliment! There are like 2 spots I wish had been a little better than they are, but had a shop charged me money and I got it back, I wouldn't be terribly bothered. And especially having done it, you get a better sense for the attention to detail that needs to be considered. Experience helped me doing things that could have turned out worse, sheer happenstance and working alone made its mark.

Very nice.
For those asking how it compares to stock, the stock headliner is slightly darker than the interior plastic just to give you an idea. I was looking at mine while taking lunch in my car today and thinking about this thread.

Got the replacement visor. The one that I was trying to separate just would NOT and eventually I broke it in enough places that I didn't want to bother trying to get it to work even if I did finally get it separated. Adam (Vigo) shipped me a set and I already got the one apart. There are two cracks from the attempt, but they are small and I will be able to use something to adhere the cracks together and with the fabric over it, you'll never know. Basically had to use a hack saw blade to start it, but once I got a little separated, I was able to get the rest on most of it.
Pics to come later when I'm done, but this is the last piece to finish before I can say I'm DONE with the headliner!!!
Gratuitous pic after it was cleaned and during the day.

haha It needs a paint job, but not horribly, thank goodness. Nah, I just wanted to get a good shot of the clean and lowered. Still need to adjust the rear spring seats just a hair though. I did not get that done, but I will. Need a pin to do it and I was out the other day. Btw, I don't have a manual for the car, so I wouldn't have known! Thanks for the info though, I may do it later tonight. The whole thing with turning the car around is weird, although I get that it needs to be calibrated.

That Shelby Motorsports guy (he's been a regular at our SoCal meetings for years but hasn't shown up in 6 or so months) sells tons of original Shelby literature on ebay. Send him a note and see if he has a SL manual. Hey, at least you found the plaque right

Got the GLHS running, so this one has sat for a few weeks. Been working up the desire, find time and get the gumption to do what I've been wanting to do for a while, which is replace the exhaust with the 3" kit I got from csracer. Got the swingvalve and other bolts off pretty easily I think, only had issue with the O2 sensor, but the rust-breaker-stuff I got at SDAC did the trick. Got the 3" swingvalve going on and full 3" exhaust to be installed, maybe today. Had to pull the K frame, but I never got it aligned when we did the work back at Christmas, so no loss really. I still need to replace the tie rods and now that I can get to them more easily, I may do that myself. I don't have the tool, but will either figure that out or see if I can find one for cheap. Regardless, it's getting done. Also got some bearings for the rear hubs that have some shimmy to them, so overall the car will be fairly solid once these things are done and will sound nice and have some good exhaust flow.
Here are some pics of the housings.

Did you leave the rack in the car or bring it down with the k-frame?
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
Rack is still on the car. I didn't want to fool with removing the roll pin. Got the tool I need to remove the tie rods, so plan to get that done hopefully this weekend.
Some photos from the work today. I'll fix the orientation when I get home. Got the coupler that will bridge the gap on the exhaust and I plan to take it to the shop when it's running to get the tip welded on and possibly have the guy weld up any leaks, which I'm sure there will be. But it fit really well.
