Since a tree fell on my Rampage project I've been going thru my 10 years of collected parts. I have a very nice shifter boot (out of an 86 Shelby Charger). I bought an 86 Daytona and it has a very nice boot, but I like having a spare just in case. So here's the question are the two boots the same of not. They look the same from the top.
I can not say for sure but i have heard that the way they mount are different but like i said im goin off what i have heard. and would you happen to have any other extra shifter boots for a shelby charger in excellent shape youd be willing to sell?
L and G body shifter boots are different.
They are slightly different, but I believe the l body boot+console are plastic riveted together, where the other consoles are posts and speed nuts.
