Still truing to find new A/C vacuum lines

I have probably asked this before, but does anyone know where you can buy the small A/C vacuum lines? This coming weekend I hope to be reinstalling the A/C box back into my Daytona and I would like to replace those lines. Thanks!

No idea, but I've seen really small metal tubing before. When I had my engine fire the AC tubing got burned right to the firewall. Then there's this stuff: http://www.amazon.com/Hareline-Hollo...pr_product_top

I forget how small it is but here is some 1/8in od stuff in Poly hose. not bad at 8.50 for a 50ft bag.

1/8" is a huge ID compared to the AC tubing. It's really micro tubing. I opened my melted stuff up with a #60 drill bit.

Thanks for the replies. I measured the vacuum tubing for the A/C unit and they are 1/8" in outer diameter. That matches perfectly the material that shackwrr posted. I just wish you could buy it in smaller amounts. I really don't need 50 ft. of each color. At most I might need 3 ft. if that much. But I really want to go back with new lines. John B, what you posted looks like it has something to do with making fish lures. I am a little apprehensive about using something not designed for automotive use. It might not last as long or it might collapse under vacuum if the hose is not designed to hold shape under pressure. But it is worth taking a look at.

Undestood. Cheap as it is I thought it might be worth a look. The other tubing posted with 1/16" ID should be ideal.

They have variants of the same product. If this were going in the engine bay I would understand apprehension in temp ratings for an automotive application. But this is not going beyond the firewall and would probably only see temps at 150* max (sitting in a hot car in the southwest US). I seriously doubt this or any other product wouldn't hold up given the application.

I Work at an International dealership and got some 1/8 Synflex tubing from the parts department. Was pretty cheap and matches the OE hose very closely.
