Can someone help me identify this?

Found this zip tied to the wiring harness by the computer. It was connected to a micro usb to usb ran through the firewall. Not connected to anything currently. Chuck said he tried to set it up to datalog, but couldn't get it to work. The case is slightly melted and warped from where the zip ties were. I popped it open and the circuits all look undamaged. I was thinking I would be able to datalog through the ostrich, which is on the way. Should I work on getting this up and running still?

Well the black end looks nearly identical to the connector on Ray's scanner. As to the rest of it, your guess is as good as mine.

Well, you sort of already figured it out. It's for datalogging. You can use it to run MPscan on a laptop in the car etc.

Are those power and ground jacks on the end of the red case?

You MAY get more attention for this thread in the EFI tuning section. Or PM some of the active members there. Shelgame and Wowzer would be a good start.

Yup. Looks like the early Chrysler OBD1 port.

Need a pic of the insides, but its probably just a homebrew USB to SCI adapter for datalogging.
