Like it says, the tach and fuel guage aren't working on my 85 SC. After a 7 year build, this is one of the last issues. I don't know if it was working before I did my work on it or not. I have done the pin change to convert to an 87 logic module, but as many times as I have checked and rechecked that, I don't think I screwed something up there. Is this a common problem that I should look in a certain spot for the cure? Thanks...
There's a small circuit board behind the tach where the solder joints tend to crack and just re soldering the joints usually cure any tach problems. That's the first thing to check. Good Luck!!

With both not working, I would suspect the whole board may not be seated well. I did the solder flow of the original solder points, but I also added some dielectric grease to the pins. It shouldn't have anything to do with the conversion.

I've also soldered the big nipple pins to the main board. I had a lot of problems with those pins on my first SC.
