91 and up large spline disc compatibility?

Thought I read somewhere that the Stealth or Talon disc had same spline and would slide on to our big splined trannies.

Now we all know that the SRT-4 shares the same spline as our large splined (91 and up) manual trannies, but are there others?

I thought it was Brent (Ondonti) that had used or tried to use another disc?

Just can't remember if he used the whole set-up, or just the disc?

Rob what transmission are you running? I'd like to know as well what clutches will fit. I'm coming into uncharted territory as I will be installing a 555 in the GLHS. If there are more options, I'd like to know!

I've used a local driveline shop for custom discs and pressure plates. They can assemble just about any combination you dream up. You could check with a local outfit and they should be able cross reference for you and tell you what stock components should fit.

Re: 91 and up large spline disc compatibility?

Still running the small splined 568 with ACT PP and F/W and custom disc to make it all work.

This is for another car (Daytona) and the owner wants to try a Talon or Stealth disc because he can get a 6 puc for 1/2 the price of one for his application.

Now if it were me, I would just order the Right disc and done, but I can't begrudge someone for wanting to save a buc where they can.

The specs on the diam. that he gave me looks like it would work, so It's just down to the spline. I would assume it will be the same, as Dodge/ Chrysler likes to do stuff like that (SRT-4 is the same and came way later 2003-2005) but these are both Mitts products, so could be a wrench right there.

Was just hoping someone might know for sure, before he goes and orders something that ends up not working.

I would imagine it is the same due to interchangeabilty with the a543

    Rob,
How's the ring gear line up with the 568 starter drive if using a larger SRT flywheel? Can't envision how that would work. Humor me, I'm slow (lol). Have a link or pics of how you made that work?

Kind of what I was thinking as well. Unfortunately it looks like neither will work as the input shaft size and/ or spline count appears to be different.

Ring gear lines up fine. Chrysler kept the flywheel practically identical (bolt pattern and ring gear) to our flywheels.

I gave JT all the info some years ago and I thought it was headed for the KC, so not sure on that but you can find all the info here; http://www.turbododge.com/forums/f4/...et-racing.html

Any other info just PM me or I can email it to you.
