So today my cable broke going to my shifter on my Daytona.
The plastic broke right off. I called up advance and they had one in stock. I'm afraid to install it because I have been reading that the Dorman brand is junk? The bushing even looks different
Has anyone else put a Dorman brand one in their car? Thanks

It's better than nothing. Some have swapped on small spherical rod bushings which would be a bit more expensive but infinitely more durable.
Those look like the stock style bushings that fail. Should be able to remove it and install your old poly one.
I bought a dorman selector cable. The 'guide tube' on the shifter end came uncrimped from the anchor point almost instantly.
'top fuel bender' made a repair part that lets you install a rod end on a busted OEM cable. Not sure whatever happend to him though.
