Congrats!
I'll be looking for it at SDAC, haven't seen the Charger in quite a few years.
HEP crapped out on her again, that's 4 in 3 years. Somewhere I have another complete distributor. Think I'll swap it and see if that helps. I've had my car for a year and a half and it's never gone bad. Took it for a test drive tonight, and the cooling fan isn't working, I'll have to troubleshoot that tomorrow evening.
I think Jay had the HEP crap out on him as well.
That car doesn't like HEP's for some reason.
I wonder if there is a way to test to see where it is failing. That wouldn't make me feel any better to know that it was constantly killing those things. 2 bad HEPs, you could write off as quality control. 4 or more and you've got something else going on. Voltage spike maybe? Check the connectors and ensure they are not spreading inside the plugs for the female connector and not compressing too much for the male connector.

Not sure how one would test for it. Any advice is welcomed. I'll double check the connections. And yes, it's very annoying and frustrating.
Finally got this thing all sorted out, the transition stumble I've been fighting, was due to a throttle body that was way to big. Now it drives nice, and I backed out of the throttle when it hit 17lbs of boost.
Spent this afternoon taking the rear wheels, rotor and hubs apart to put the parking brake guts in them that was missing when we got the car. All new cables and all. She has parking brakes now!
Dropped the engine & transfer today to fix her exhaust leak. Found several other things I need to fix, mainly rebuild the Turbo, lots of oil in the bottom of the intercooler & it has lots of shaft play. Not rubbing the housings yet, but I can't put it back on that way. Also replacing timing belt, CVS axles, replacing clutch, ball joints, control arm bushings and outer tie rod ends. Also Modding shift linkages and cleaning up engine compartment, engine and transmission to repaint if needed. Need to mod the exhaust as well, the downpipe on it drops it 2.5" to low, lets it drag on speed bumps. May also put stainless Turbo oil and coolant lines on it while its out.
Going to pull-a-part in the morning to find some fuse boxes to replace fusable links and clean up the wiring.
There are a good number of fuse boxes to use. Mine is out of a Mitsubishi Mirage, others have used the Crown Vic's PDC and others have used the 92 and up Dodge Daytona or Neon ones. Good luck!

I like the Mazda truck or RX7 fuse box.
Couldn't find any Mazda pickups or crown Vic's with the 8 circuit maxi fuses, but found this in a Ford escort. Should work fine and is small.

Got the transmission mated back to the engine, starter back on, started replacing motor mounts poly bushings in the control arms, new ball joints, painted and back on on the car. Tried taking the Turbo apart to rebuild, no joy on the turbine housing bolts. What is the best thing to soak them with to get them to break free? Have the parts coming tomorrow to make the shift rods quick disconnect.
Last night, got the transmission & front motor mount inserts done and a turbo rebuilt to put on her car. Just need to do the shift ron mods then I'll be ready to put it all back together.
Got the Turbo back on and all the lines reconnected. It won't come loose again, double nutted the Turbo studs. Started doing the mods to the shift linkages. Hope to have the engine & trans back in Thursday.
Yesterday got all the ball studs mounted for the hiem joint mod on shifter linkage. Just have to get the ends on the rods. Hopefully the engine & transfer back in today.
Got the engine & transmission back in it today, got the exhaust, shifter and cv axles in before I had to go with my daughter to a college and career event @ the high school. Man how time flies she graduates high school in 6 months.
How long before you can get it started? What was the reason you took it apart, wiring or turbo or a little bit of both?

I should have it all back together next Wednesday when I'm off. I took it all apart to fix the exhaust leak originally, then decided to do all these other things while I had it apart.
Got the shift rod ends removed the rods threaded for the quick connects, just have to get some jam nuts for them.
