I have low oil pressure & makes a noise on initial start up , engine is a 2.5 turbo engine is fresh only 1,000 miles on it. any ideas what might be wrong? any help would be great! thx

When the engine was built, were the mains and rods plastigauged? Was the oil pump replaced? Does it sound like the lifters or from the bottom end. Worn ( too much clearance) bearings will cause this and will sometimes quiet up after it builds some oil pressure. Oil pump problems will cause low oil pressure and will cause the lifters to make noise if there is not enough oil getting to the top end and eventuially wear the bearing if there is not enough pressure. A badly worn turbo can also cause low oil pressure which would also cause top end noise at startup.
Also connect a mechanical oil pressure gauge to verify pressure. The factory gauges are not always accurate. You obviously have a problem since you have noise but verify how low the pressure is.

I have noticed that when the engine is cold I have good oil pressure but once the engine warms up I lose oil pressure.
With the engine making noise, you're buying time no matter what you do.
Prepare to have a second car ready when this one is down.
is there a quick fix to this?

I have removed the oil filter & took filter apart , found some silver dust in oil.
anybody?
time to pull the pan and get a look see at the bearings I'd say...could also check the oil pump at the same time..maybe the relief spring is stuck somehow.
ok , I will try that!
I like Chris's suggestion about the oil filter check ball - it's integral to the thread/hex fitting installed in the block that the filter spins onto. Are you using the correct filter or a different/larger one? Noise at startup could be oil filling the filter and not pressurizing the mains.....
^^Yes, if the oil drains out of filter it'll hammer like mad for few seconds.....sounds like main bearings, pull the hep wires and crank it over until it gets oil pressure, then reattach, will help those dry startups/noise. But silver sheen indicates damage done.
still having these problems , replaced rod bearings n replaced oil pump checked main bearings looked ok.not so much noise at start up now has good oil pressure on start up but once again loses pressure when reaching operating temperature n noise returns. ugh!
