    dye for faded carpet ?

    looking to dye my csx carpet Gray since its all faded around the floormats.
    looking for recommendations on what brand and color i should buy so it looks right and doesn't come out all stiff like its been painted or something

    Check the homesite for SEM products. I am guessing they have something.

    Yup - $20 of SEM works well. Here's before and after of my omni carpet.

    Before - whole carpet before I vacuumed and washed it.

    Close up - not to shabby for a couple cans of vinyl paint. I used the same warm gray that I sprayed the interior trim panels, which at first I thought would be way too light, but I did a test on a really beat up spare omni carpet and I couldn't believe how it matched so I went for it!

    Spray it, let it dry for a day and then rough it up with a vinyl bristle brush (it's a little crunchy feeling after you spray it, but the brush makes it like new softness).

    thanks, thats what i'm going with then, looks like it came out really well, when i do it i'll take pics and post them to this thread
