    Spare Tire Cover Board

I have a 1992 Daytona with only pieces left of my spare tire cover board, I want to build a better, stronger one out of 3/8 Plywood. What car's spare tire cover boards interchange with a Daytona? Are all the hatchbacks the same (Shadow for example), will a Lebaron coupe or convert work? I just need a decent one to use as a pattern to make my new one from. Trying to find a salvageable one form a junkyard or borrow one locally.
    Thanks

Masoniite might be a good material to use. Perhaps coat it in polyester resin to prolong it's life.

I used a piece of oak plywood sanded and finished with varnish to replace mine (p body) no idea if the other body types are the same (I don't think they are)

1984-93 G Bodies are all the same. They are not the same as any other body. 4248912 is the Mopar #. I have one used in perfect condition.

    Re: Spare Tire Cover Board

Marine plywood with a piano hinge (for access) covered in carpet would look pretty stock and maintain a smidge of rigidity for putting stuff in the back. Cardboard is the key here, get your template perfect then just transfer it over. A can of Super 44 for the carpet to stick and you're in business.

Make one out of CF. I'm thinking about doing one for the CSX just to learn on.

    Re: Spare Tire Cover Board

I thought the board sat under the rear carpet. Though cutting the carpet and covering the board is a great idea. Most all other mfgs do this, in about every new car Ive seen. Masonite or plywood would work. It gets most of its "strength" from resting on the spare tire. Even thinner plywood would suffice, I would think
