Okay so I really like the look of the kaminari body kit, but it says it's only for 1989-93 shadows. I have a 1988 CSX-T and a 1993 Shadow ES and was wondering what modifications if any are required to make the body kit fit on the CSX-T. I mainly just want the side skirts and front air dam, but I would also like to know what is required to make the rear bumper and wing fit too. Thanks.
If you are looking online, the side and rear bumper pieces are no longer being produced. The molds were list in a fire a long time ago. The front should fit fine, but not with the standard SE bumper. You'll need a base car bumper cover.

If I take the current front bumper cover off the CSX-T will it be a base model bumper?

Looks nice, when it says side skirts is it referring to the sides alone? Don't see anything about the front.
GLHS571 check the link in my last post. There is front, side, and wing.
front cover will fit if you remove the csx-t cover, rear trunk lid will have some holes in the middle from the old spoiler that will need to be fixed the kaminari rear wing should just need 3 holes drilled on each side of the lid to mount. not sure how the sides are made now but i heard they are 1pc with no door cladding, not like the csx-vnt ones
Thank you fox. Do you think they will fit on the same mounting rail as the stock side skirts or do you think they will need the later model mounting rails up high?
youd proboby have to remove the metal rail , the factory csx-vnt kit rivets directly into the door sill so i'd imagine it'd be similar to that
Didn't know they were making a side piece again. Not csx, but looks good imo.
Yeah whenever I saw the birthday car, I fell in love with the kaminari kit on the 88 body. I just wasn't sure how it mounted. But If Fox is right and it rivets to the door sill, I can do that. Or if it uses 3m tape I can do that. But I read somewhere that the CSX VNT ones used like a putty or something behind the kit to make it wider and I didn't want to do that. Until I get the money for a Kaminari though, I'm mounting the kit from my ES on my CSX-T. Hopefully that won't look too bad.
Tape wouldn't be enough for the sides I think. Need to rivet or screw somehow.
CoolV300C, do you think it would mount to one of the two rails, or do you think it's proprietary?
I had something similar looking years ago, they typically just go over the door sill, and you rivet or screw there. When the door is closed it is hidden. Had a JC Whitney el cheapo kit on a 91 Shadow years ago that looked similar.
