    Progress with GTP

Here are a few pics of the GTP. Repaired front bumper(broken and cracked in numerous places) and painted to match main body. Installed complete new exhaust(mandrel bent pipe(with test pipe) and dual stainless tips. Some additional black paint areas. Completely revamped interior(Alcantera door panels, dash, seats, new RS door pulls, perlon euro lightweight carpet,Racemark wheel, etc
Interior still has a few details left(weatherstrip, different screws in a few areas, clean up, some missing trim, etc

Did you find that the exhaust change helps performance?

Steve that really looks nice. Contrast piping in seats, flat door panels with rs pulls, matte black wheels. Looks like a legit race car.

Did yours always have a black stripe on rockers?

Have any pics of exhaust from underneath?

The front strip looks so much better body color, I wonder if the rear would too? Great progress

Exhaust did help performance. Just playing around with numbers-a friend of mine owns a company that makes static cling numbers for race cars.

Thanks. Yes always had a stripe. Haven't decided if that will stay. There will be a number of upcoming changes though-Lexan covers, modded rear end, Scuderia style stripes, etc. I'll see if I can get a pic of exhaust.

I might have a few befores of the interior-even though it wasn't totally shot, the design was awful.

I agree. I have done some work on upper back panel in black, I think matching the lower bumper to body color may be a good idea. There are other subtle changes that IMO really have helped when compared to how I received it. Its almost good enough to show now without major "kit car" comments. Give me another week or two.

Some of the old interior crap, another pic of the new seats.

Much, much better and getting rid of that supertrap muffler would have been my first move.

GTP/sportscar mirrors sold through a race supplier.

No, but what you did looks cool-some of the race cars had solid color bodies like that. filling in the headlights/turnsignal openings really cleans up the look. Maybe I'll make a couple different sets.

    Re: Progress with GTP

Keep us posted on the light covers ( with details ) . I've been wanting to do some, but not sure how to attach them without drilling holes for brackets and I think L brackets with velcro wont last long the way I drive.
