Anyone know if there has been a problem with these? And who is the go to guy for rebuilding one? (just the a/t that is)

Hasn't really been an issue. That should be the same they've had for a few years, in the 300 and Charger too, so there are lots out there. Most shops should be able to rebuild I would think because it is so common.
What is it doing? And aren't the 2009's covered under the lifetime powertrain warranty for original owners or was '08 the last year for that?
According to this it has a lifetime powertrain warranty for the original owner.

Did you buy it used?
I'm considering buying one in this condition. I haven'y actually talked to the seller yet to ask what it's doing. The ad simply says it'll drive but you'll have to tow it.
I would think a rebuild wouldn't be much more than 3k, right?

I would be leary of buying a '09 that has tranny issues that the owner doesn't want to fix. Would make me wonder what else they neglected on the car.
Yep. When I stepped back to investigate I didn't like what I found.

Its pretty hard to kill a Mercedes nag transmission. They are really tough.
