    Mazdaspeed 6 V-flange downpipe

I'm looking to try an ATP Ultimate Internal swing valve on my 8V Omni. I've seen some downpipes for a Mazdaspeed 6 on Ebay that look like they would be at least close to a bolt-on. Has anybody tried one of these?

Pretty nifty! Let us know how it works!

Although it does look like it be a little bit too far to the passenger side of the tunnel.

Maybe, maybe not, viewing from this angle. ATP makes this one.

I was under the impression that our DP needs to head down towards the k-frame a little more, but those pics are hard to judge. Worst scenario, it needs to be cut and welded just above the flex joint so it goes down and then turns under the car.

I think in order to properly fit into the tunnel, the bend out of the swingvalve would need to be greater than 90 degrees.

Having used the agp DP on several mazdaspeeds in our shop, I can say this is no where a direct fit on a td. The section from turbo to bend is WAY longer, and a little twisted. But you could make it work with a lot of cutting and welding. Depending on how cheap you can get the dp, it might be worth it, but if you got welding skills and can get the component relatively cheap, you might as well build one yourself

Do you think it would work on a minivan with a TU header and ATP swingvalve with less modification?

No, probably the same amount of work. Too bad I didn't see this post earlier. I just shipped a custom made downpipe that we made for a spirit r/t using the AGP swingvalve. I wish I took a picture!

OK, found some pictures. I'll post them up once photobucket comes back up (down for maintainance)

    Re: Mazdaspeed 6 V-flange downpipe

I know first hand these will not fit. Bought one last spring hoping it would just magically fit the agp swingvalve. It looks like it would be a close fit but the bends are all wrong. Ended up making one out of mild steel for way less than I paid for the mazda downpipe.
