    Carpet Dye on 86 600es

Hey guys I am in the process of restoring my 600 and have come to the point where I need to do something with the carpet. It is a tan color I was thinking of trying to dye it. I know they make new carpet but that's out of the question, The biggest complaint is it is sun faded and I have seen videos of guys dying there carpet for wholesale/resale cars and it turns out pretty nice, granted I am always skeptical on stuff like this online but hey worth a shot. I have the carpet at a detail shop now getting cleaned and He said it came out pretty good but there is nothing they do in there shop to fix the color, besides take it somewhere else. I have run across SEM products and they made a spray for this

Just wondering what others have done in this case, besides buying new carpet.

Pictures for a color reference can be found here: http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...ble&highlight=

Any help or input is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jack

Re: Carpet Dye on 86 600es

Before the restoration market got big, dyeing a good, used carpet to the right color was just about the only thing one could do, and came out pretty good, though not as nice as new...

Some may prefer it as it retains some "patina"... and some folks prefer that look.
