    1/4" fuel system connector

on the return line there is a 1/4" metal body fuel quick disconnect at the engine end and I assume on the fuel pump as well.

finding a 3/8 and 5/16 metal body connector is not a problem since dorman makes/sells them. But I cannot locate the same thing in 1/4"

    one of these

will the newer all plastic connectors snap onto the metal fuel lines that are made for the old style metal connectors?

Most people seem to hate those so they break them and get rid of them. I like them. I wouldn't mind replacements for 1/4 as well.

I do not really care for them but I would also like to not hack up my fuel lines by adapting to something else that gives me the hose barb end. Doing some more looking around it appears the plastic body connectors will indeed work the metal hard lines in addition to the plastic hard lines.

To revive my own thread: These now exist apparently from Dorman, they are proud of them but if they are true legit 1/4" sized QD's and work like the original stuff then all the better. I was browsing dormans website and stumbled across them, they are not listed correctly and their search feature does not find them like the common 5/16 and 3/8. I found them on amazon and ordered two pairs.
