89 daytona owners please step inside

So it has been brought to my attention that the 89 daytona hoods share the same latch mount as the 87-88... Which i was under the impression the the core supports changed in 89.. Wonder if 89 was a split year for the core supports.. So i ask all 89 owners to post up a pic of your hood and latch assembly.. I need to de funk this real quick as one of my hoods i made for 89 has the older latch style... Thanks in advance guys!!

I'm fairly certain the core support didn't change until 1990.

Yeah, 1990 was an oddball one year only core support/hood if I remember right and then 91 -up the support was the same, but obviously the hood changed. From the ones I've parted out 87-89 were all the same.

ok so from what im gathering the change was 90... the nice thing is all chrysler did was add a plate to the older hood frames... spot welded them on... if the plate is removed it is the same as the older style... i followed suit when making the fiberglass one, if its the older it has no extension plate, if the newer the plate is added to the frame... i was under the impression that 89-91 hoods were the same... but i believe its 87-89 and 90-91... in which is the case here,

You are correct Jaren. 87-89 hoods are the same and 90-91s just had the extra plate tack welded on. I have cut that plate off before to use a 90-91 hood on an 87-89 car. I think I just needed to add some J nuts to bolt the latch on.
