    Re: Connectors

I haven't tried that exact one for sure, but all the ford stuff I've tried in the past which looks close won't work. There are a lot of similar Ford connectors out there.

Order was processed and tendered for shipping without any 'sorry we actually don't have those in stock and can't get them' So fingers optimistically crossed that those suckers will arrive and be the golden ticket.

    Re: Connectors

The connectors you're talking about are not discontinued. I don't think they will work though. They are now a freight liner part. 22-13211-400. FL and Sterling warehousing show almost 4000 available. There is no minimum on it as I see. The Molex number before it became proprietary is 330088-0009, which mouser has a 15k minimum.

I've tried using these pins off of a bronco 2 once in a pinch and I think they're either too big or too small.

Dead on match in fitment and form to an original removed from the SBEC connector on my car… I will get a picture tomorrow when the camera arrives home again.

    If it works, great!
Correction: Sterling part number is 23-13211-400.

Very nice I'll add that to the first page.

This is truly good news. I'm also glad that someone else actually has luck doing this. I have yet to strike gold on anything and my pile of connectors I can't use for anything is getting pretty large.

    Re: Connectors

Picture that is worth a thousand words and god knows how many hours spent looking for it.

The orange wire/pin is a pre terminated repair wire from chrysler. The middle pin is the elusive 60 way connector pin aka Ford motor company/molex/freight-liner and whoever else and the green wire/pin is the original K20 charging circuit wire from my car (the insulation is cracked right at that bend)

    Re: Connectors

Nice thought. doubtful there are enough really interested here to make it worthwhile. Also a group buy needs to be at a worthwhile price point to justify buying in bulk if that makes sense.

    Re: Connectors

I would pony up $100 with others to get down to 20 cents per terminal. A buck a pop (plus shipping) is a tough pill to swallow.

    Connectors

There's no volume pricing on these through FL. Think they list around .95 each without a lot volume.
(I'm on an edit spree. I can't help but add info. Depending on interest I could coordinate a group buy on this. )

    Re: Connectors

Maybe worth contacting clips and fastness.com to see if they would sell a larger volume at a better price. The ones I got were still on the 'stripper clip' from the reel, if they even are the source and not just reselling from someone else.

    Connectors

Well. Here's the deal. I found a source of the Molex connector before it superseded to an OE part. If the warehouses doesn't screw up, I have a source for a few connectors for cheap. Think about .12 each.

I'm in. I'd even go higher than $100 out of pocket to get that price. What's the minimum quantity?

Here's a sample I ordered. Does this look right? Also, can anyone confirm this also works for the SMEC computers??? Does it fit the bulkhead, etc?

My warehousing is dumb. They show the Molex PN in the warehouses, but won't sell them since there is a new number! There is no volume pricing on these at all. With a large purchase I may be able to do something, but it'd be .60 or so each.

Mouser sells them. Just an outrageous shipping cost.

Still better than $1 each. What's the part number that shows up on Mouser? 23-13211-400 and 330088-0009 don't return any results on the website.
