Yeah, that's what I keep seeing. They're crazy expensive too. I've had great luck replacing pretty much every component under hood with non-bullet terminal pieces, but one thing we can't get around is the SMEC/SBEC terminals. A good supplier (fair price, good quality) would be nice.

    Re: Connectors

Finding a suppler who has the capability to make those will be next to impossible without some deep pockets.

The lack of product support for chrysler SBEC's was/has/still is the single biggest reason I would prefer to ditch it all together and go with an aftermarket controlling product that uses common OTS components that will not be an obsolete next month type deal.

    Re: Connectors

I'm making a fuel injector harness and bought these for the connectors I have:

    CONN-10657 GM Delphi / Packard - 280.1 Metri-Pack ( Metripack ) Female Terminal ( 20 - 16 gauge ) [Pull to seat]

Got these from Ballenger Motorsports. They go to this fuel injector connector:

    http://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/pro...roducts_id/451

They also have connectors and terminals for Wideband O2 connectors, which is great so you can source out the O2 directly and build your own. Very nice!

Those are the same injector connectors that I am using on my GLH project. I like them.

The push clip is the best. Makes it super easy to remove the harness when necessary. I did check and this style is actually an old model that is sorta end of life, but I'm sure they will be available for a while.

Thanks. Cost is the big factor for me why I buy bulk online. If I can get 1-2 or 10 at the local store for about the same price shipped, that would be a good option.

    Re: Connectors

So I answered my own question. Awhile back I bought a variety of terminals on closeout from rock auto. CT-643 is the same thing as CG52 on rock auto since they both cross over to 4368960 and I have those already. They are not going to work on a SBEC. The later cars that use those black and grey deutsch style connectors behind/near the battery, those terminals look like the smaller version of the two sizes that are used in those connectors that have the combination of large and small terminals.

Looked it up while at work but now I forget lol. I think it was $1.24 each, somewhere in that neighborhood.

    Re: Connectors

Odd, I tried to order CT644 from a local O'Reilly's not too long ago, and was told that they couldn't be ordered.

Hmm, they are non-stocking items but pretty sure I can order them. I'll check when I go back to work tomorrow.

    Re: Connectors

I think I may have identified a viable alternative for the logic module terminals. These may also be used elsewhere in some interior connectors.

    Molex part number: 08-50-0023

    Current pricing on Mouser:
    Qty: 1 = $0.10 each,
    Qty: 10 = $0.07 each,
    Qty: 25 = $0.063 each,
    Qty: 50 = $0.052 each,
    Qty: 100 = $0.049 each,
    Qty: 250 = $0.046 each.

I bought a 50 pack and it cost me $2.60.

I haven't actually tried one yet, but I will soon. I'll update when I do.

    Re: Connectors

I found some wires at work with ends like this and 4 inches of wire, I'm going to check them again tonight!! That would be a score, because there all different colors, the only problem I foresee is that the wire is about 16-18 gauge. So you might have to pull them apart and clamp a bigger wire on it. No big deal.

    Re: Connectors

Ha! I didn't notice before, but the OEM terminal on the left in the above pic is crimped wrong. LOL!
