Re: Help me pick some wheels!

That's what I was afraid of. We're really limited. I did see that Ray's offers Gram Lights in a 15x8 5x114 wheel, but I don't know how much they weigh and they're at least $280 each. If I could get RPF1s in 15x8 and 5x100 they'd be a little over 11lbs. That would be amazing.

Re: Help me pick some wheels!

By the way, when I said mine were 36lbs, that was with tires. I think the wheel is 15.5, so if you can get a wheel at 11lbs, that will be pretty amazing. The tire will offset that though, but at least you have some weight to give by losing it on the wheels.

Re: Help me pick some wheels!

If I could get that 15x8 wheel in a 5x100 I think it would fit perfectly from a wheel to strut standpoint. I'd have to roll the fenders for sure, but I think it would work. At this point, I have no problems rolling the fenders or anything on this car.

Re: Help me pick some wheels!

So, I just picked up a set of used RPF1, 17x9, 35ET, in white (not listed). While they technically "fit" (you can bolt them down and spin them), there's NO WAY you can run a tire on them without spacing them out. I am going to be running a 25mm spacer on all 4.

My point here is that 8" with 35ET should fit. Wow...what a long way to get to that! LOL

not sure IF I posted already
    rota wheels !!

    https://www.google.com/search?q=rota...Zpunn1Y4SyHdHM

similar to what I want for my own charger (want 17 x 9 1/2)

    https://whiteheadperformance.com/pro...80z-280zx-510/

I like 'em as they look like the older minilite wheels though 5x100 might be hard to get
    (planning a 5 x 114 conversion)

I should add .. "shopping" tires to go on those is tuff
mostly old stock in 17 inch with a suitable profile

I think I was looking at 275-295 in a 30-35 series tire last year when I was researching this

Re: Help me pick some wheels!

Do you have any idea how much those weigh? One thing I love about the RPF1 is that they give the weights for most sizes and widths. I love the idea of an 11lb wheel that's 8" wide. That would easily allow for a 245/45r15 to fit on there. That would be incredible.

That would be an exceptionally light wheel in that size.

I'm not sure now I ever found an actual stated weight ..

if you want a good tire calculator
type the tire size and diameter ... the word diameter
at the top of the google search page you should go to "tacomaworld".com .. directly to the site's tire calculator

I have these in 16x8 +20 on my car. They make them in 15x8. They are a cheap wheel so I don't know how well they'd hold up to autox. That's with a 205 tire.

JNC 004. Luckily, I have a spare in the shed. About 17.5lbs. Maybe lose a pound or so if you go to a 15. Idk.
