Would you be willing to ask around in your industry among colleagues to see if anyone does? Machining the wheel is not an issue, the hard part is welding on a 'plate' perfectly centered that the lug nuts butt up against...

I asked a couple "knowledgable Porsche *experts* about fitment before I did the deal, they gave me the 'yeah, should fit' response. They dont Love the look but the offset is too far out, that is, they would rub the fenders over bumps for sure. I did some crude but effective measurements and I need 40mm taken out of the fronts and 25mm taken out of the rears. THing is as you know, if that much is machined off the mounting flanges of the rim, the lugnuts would simply fall thru the wheels because the 'plate' would be gone. I don't mind spending the money to fix/modify them if its even possible. Do I have any options you know of, does your company do that sorts mod?

Since you like the Subaru wheels I will just mention that Corby's Omni has WRX wheels, gold. Takes work to make them fit. There was another thread about this.

Thanks for the pic Brent. Those aren't my favorite of the Subaru style, but if I could get a set of the STI wheels then we would be talking.

Re: Help me pick some wheels!

In regards to Alan's predicament, there are things you can do to bring the wheels in by tiny amounts for a large amount of labor, but 25 and 40mm are simply massive amounts and my opinion, even as someone who is ready and willing to grind material off all sorts of critical components, is 'there's no fixing that..'.

    FYI,
Did a search and unless it was available years before, 15'' RPF1 is not available in 5x100, only in 4x100.
And the 5x100 bolt pattern starts in 16''.

Re: Help me pick some wheels!

For me, the thing about 15s on these cars is you have to lower the car SO much to get them to look like i want, it becomes a major hassle and you get to the point where the suspension doesnt work right anymore. I have 15s on my Lebaron and i'm considering chopping up all the motor mounts so i can lift the whole drivetrain and get ground clearance to lower it another inch because my pans are 2-3" off the ground and the car doesn't "look" low enough.. Granted, nobody else on this forum really feels the same way i do about lowering except for 1 guy, but if it were 16s or 17s it would look 'right' without lowering it THAT much because the edge of the wheel would be so much closer to the body to begin with.

Like Jon's car that is in his sig pic right above me, that car LOOKS low in that pic, but my Lebaron's oil pans are closer to the ground than his front ground effects and it still doesnt look quite as low as that Charger because of how the wheel/wheelwell relationship is with 15s.

Dont push the red button. You hear me?

Re: Help me pick some wheels!

I don't think I'll have problems with looks. The front fascia is 5" above the ground right now so it already looks pretty low. I do like the look of a 17" wheel, but a 15" wheel with the right tire could shave 6lbs. off of each corner vs. the 17"s.

10 pound wheels are pretty sweet. You can feel the lack of weight every time you hit the throttle. You can't see 17's from the drivers seat..

Re: Help me pick some wheels!

I'm slighty biased...RPF1's Seriously, this is a VERY hard to beat bang for the buck wheel. Run 16x7 35mm offset with 205/55/16 tires. You don't need to slam the car to make it look good. A 1" drop just to close the gap a bit would make a HUGE difference without sacrificing ride and suspension geometry so much. A 2" drop will put the tires very close to the bottom of the fender well. This does introduce some issues if you are worried about geometry stuff and possibly hitting bump stops on softer springs. The reason I think the 205/55/16 is a good size is because it still has a good selection, it's a stock size for our cars, and it will give you ample room for camber adjustment at the knuckle without having to use camber plates.

You know my opinion on the RPF1.
