Is there a plate that goes between the engine and trans and is it necessary? I can't seem to find it and am putting the engine in tonight.
Also, what does the bracket look like that goes on the engine on the pass side that connects to the passenger's side engine mount? I have a few brackets but can't seem to find the one that goes there.
I took my car apart five years ago, so...my memory is failing me...lol

You don't really need the shields that go in between the trans and the engine. I haven't had them on my cars in years.
The bracket that goes against the motor for the pass side motor mount looks like it should have the goose neck piece attached to it. It's really pretty distinctive.
Okay...glad to know I can run without it...lol

Would a k-car be the same? Theres one of those in the junkyard.
If this is for your GLH then it won't work. The motor mounts are L body specific.
Only the part of the mount that holds the insert is specific on the passenger side. The piece that connects the mount to the block is the same for all the cars. I have a pile of them.

That's a great point. I have only removed the universal piece from the other box one time, but that's due to the rust in most places I've been.
